Ian Allan Group - Publishing

Since beginning in 1942, 150 million books have been produced by Ian Allan Publishing, mainly on transport subjects.

Oxford Publishing Company was purchased in 1998 from Haynes Publishing and this is considered to be the most comprehensive highest quailty railway list in the market. Considerable investment has been put into the OPC since 1998, to enlarge new and back list titles.

1999 saw the purchase of Midland Publishing which strengthened Ian Allan Publishing’s position in aviation books from World War 2 to the present day.

Another firmly established principal player in the World War 2 aviation market was added in 2002 with the aquisition of Classic Publications, providing a wide range of WWII aviation titles with specialisation from the German perpective.

With an international and national sales force Ian Allan Publishing have representation all over the english speaking world for over 5,000 individual product lines including monthly and quarterly magazines.
